I saw an episode of ESPN Outdoors once, where they travelled to Trinidad to go lobstering with the locals, and especially this one guy in particular, who was supposed to be the best on the whole island.

He used some kind of fiberglass pole, that had no hook or loop on it that I could see. But SOMEHOW, when he stuck it in the lobster hole and yanked it out, the lobster would be stuck to the pole.

It was the weirdest thing, and the show did not even mention it once. It was almost like the guy had the fuzzy side strips of velcro or something glued to the end of the pole that would catch the lobster's spines.

Anyone have any idea about this?
