Not a real smoothbore, but,,,
I had an ancient .22 single-shot that was shot out,,,
There was a barely perceptible trace of rifling left in the gun.
That old rifle worked nicely with rat-shot,,,
But I think it's effective range was still no more than 15-20 feet.
