When I was taking the NRA Basic Pistol course, during lunch the instructor, who is a retired Air Force sky cop and retired law enforcement firearms instructor opined very articulately that had the Miami shoot out not ocurred, or had a Silvertip expanded like it was supposed to that most police agencies would still be carrying 9mm autos or .38 Spl revovlers.
