The .490 ball with the .018 ticking loaded tight. I will try the .495 ball one of these days. Thinner patch too.

No one at the range when I went with Becky ( the Bedford ) but I have shot my other flint rifle Suzanna ( North Carolina long rifle, iron furniture .40 cal 42" Getz barrel in a curly maple stock.) when other folks were there. I drew a small crowd as most have never seen a real flint rifle shot except on TV or in a movie. I enjoy explaining all about them, the history etc. as well as showing the folks all of my tools, pouch and horn that I made myself. I always offer everyone to fire it if they want to. I do this in hope of promoting the BP sport and our history as Americans.
