Nothing wrong with the bullet weight, it's my favorite for the caliber. It's just that some rifles and shooters prefer other bullet weights and designs. Only big stuff I get to shoot is hogs and I like Hornady's Interlock in my .30-06. Latest rifle shows a marked preference for the 180 over my old favorite 165, wouldn't be surprised if a .300 would as well. Either will do fine in his hunting situation, I just enjoy getting all the performance I can out of a new rifle and grubbylabs' new rifle is certainly showing some great potential.
