Y'all need to look into getting VA law changed to have the check done beforehand like we have in Nebraska with our Firearm Purchase Certificate ....... and a Concealed Handgun Permit works for that too: The background check is done beforehand, takes 3-5 days, and is good for 3 years (5 for the CHP). Walk in to the gun store, pick out your gun (or guns!), fill out the Fed form, show your permit, pay and out the door with your hardware!
