Well, gang-bangers don't care about the law in the first place, so a ruling from the Supreme Court will be largely irrelevant to them.
That said, when it comes to carrying a firearm in public, the court
will listen to arguments about potential public-safety consequences, and it
will have an effect on whatever opinion they reach.
