How far should I sight my .22 lr?
The answer is how far do you intend to shoot.
25 yards?
50 yards?
100 yards?
I have a 22 Long Rifle Ruger 77/22 that is [a yard gun] sighted in for 25 yards.

Here is an important consideration...Most scopes focus at 30 to 35 yards.
