I was in a similar boat not too long ago. I created a new thread as well for what I was considering. One of my criteria I was looking for was a manual safety lever. The pistol I was considering was a Taurus PT809 in the $350 range. After getting some feedback I decided to spend a little more to get a little more quality. I purchased a Beretta PX4 Storm for $499 at my local shop.
