Never had any problems with my two Gen 4s. Models 22 and 26. My only interaction with their CS was when they shipped me a new recoil sping for free for the 22 when they had that recall. I didn't have a problem with the original spring either. Maybe I just got lucky. Sorry to hear about your issues.
