Well, the new chrony (this is #2) survived it's first outing to the range, and I thought that I'd share some of the data that I got from some factory and hand pistol loads.

Temp:66F
Humidity: 63% relative
Alt:+22ft/sea level
Distance:10ft from muzzle
Rounds Fired:10 each

Firearm #1 is a S&W Sigma 9mm, 4 inch barrel
Firearm #2 is a Taurus PT-111 9mm, 3.25 inch barrel

It seems that about 1 inch of barrel in 9mm (at least from 4 to 5 inches) is worth about 100fps in handload data. I wish that I had run some of these loads through the PT-111, but I ran out of time and the range closed before I had a chance.
While my Standard Deviations of my hand loads seem to be in the norm for factory loaded cartridges, it seems like my Extreme Spreads seem to be quite large. What causes this? Is this out of spec with what you've seen and clocked in your own loads?
