The gr weight is pretty standard for .30 cal full metal jacket boat tail. In fact, I think its the NATO std for 7.62x51
(.308)
I've loaded and shot a couple of thousand of them in Savage.308 scout., my std load has always been 45 gr of 4064

You won't buy cheaper bullets for general shooting.

I use same slug in '06 for the Garand
