Well, like people, some "forget" easier than others. Some will never forget.
It also depends on how desperate they may be. In long extreme cold periods, or hard winters with lots of snow, calling will be more productive because they are hungry and prone to mistakes. But content, comfortable coyotes will usually not make the same mistakes twice.
