LDW... I am hearing you talk R-25 and mountain hunting in the same context... You are aware that fully kitted with scope, rings, magazine full of ammo and sling you are looking well over 10 lbs, right?

I've done some hunting that required long walks and +/- 1000 feet elevation on steep grades and this is not a rifle I would want to carry. For serious mountain hunting, you might not want the weight.

Or perhaps you don't mind the weight and are used to humping M240s or something...
