I load Rainier bullets quite a bit. I load them a little hotter than lead but not as hot a jacketed. The only time I had trouble with them was launching the 200 gr SWC 45 bullets at 1200 fps out of my 10" contender in 45 Win Mag. The bullets went fine but when they hit the targets they had little radial lines running out from the bullet hole. The rifleing cut through the plating and the rotatational force had them sticking out like little arms when it hit the paper. I have only had that problem with that style bullet in that barrel. I did a large accuracy test with my 10" contender barrel in 45 acp and the Rainier was consistently more accurate than the Berry's in the 200 grain. The Rainiers were more accurate than the Hornady 200 Match SWC and only slightly less accurate than the winner which was Remington Golden Sabre 200 grain HP. Of course your results may vary!
