I've tried just the aerosols to blast the frame of a Glock and been unimpressed, ended up with better results using a tooothbrush and Hoppes #9 to scrub it then blast the Hoppes with Gunscrubber for polymer. That makes a very clean Glock, and is safe to the plastic.
