I have alot of M19's and M66 K-frame magnums. I've had about five L-frames, and am down to two. I kept the PC 586-5 L-comp, and a 3" 686 CS-1. I would get rid of both L-frames before I traded a M19 away. With tens of thousands of rounds through K-frame magnums over 38 years, I've yet to shoot one loose. In ten years of L-frames, I've had four go out of time (3 686's and the PC L-comp) and one 686 get end shake. If the L-frames are so much stronger, I'll have to take y'alls word for it, cause you could not prove it by my experience. Oh, I forgot to mention the ignition failures of three 686's that I purchased and returned to the dealer. Only had ignition failures with one K-frame, a 65-6 3". The firing pin was too short from the factory. I attribute that K-frame failure to the fact that it was made after 2000, and I should have known better than to buy it. Good luck with your decision, if you decide to let go any M19's, please PM me. Regards 18DAI.
