I've found this to be the case as well. Several of my guns eject it very weakly although they do function fine with it. My guess is that it was the ammo (could be a bad batch or just the underpowered nature of it); only one way to know for sure though--try something a little hotter. Speer Lawmen is full powered practice ammo if you can find it. If not Brown Bear is relatively hot 115gr 9mm as well.
