By either replacing the spring on trigger (with a lighter one) or shortening the factory spring, plus some careful honing polishing on the trigger sear, you should be able to get your Axis trigger pull down to under 3 lbs. Mine is around 2 1/2 lbs. Just be aware, with either method, too short a spring or too light a spring causes a problem with sear engaging properly.
