MOST, (not all), field guns shoot flat, that is a 50-50 pattern above/below POA. Most (not all) target guns are designed to "float" the bird a little above the bead as they typically are set up to shoot 60-40, 70-30, even as high as 90-10.

The best way to see if that is true with YOUR gun is to hit the pattern board with you shooting your ammo.
