The Norinco is probably as close to a GI pistol as you can get and, like a GI pistol, its handling of other than ball ammo can be iffy. In my experience, most pistols can be worked over to feed about anything, but it can be tricky; sometimes you can get a pistol to feed brand X hollow points, then when you work on it to get it to feed brand Y it won'f feed brand X any more.
