The John Wayne commemorative New Vaquero is only about $1000-$1050. Really nice sixguns for the money.

I've been thinking about saving up for what would amount to a dream gun. I would start with a Ruger Bisley. It would be converted to a five-shot .500Linebaugh or .500JRH. It would wear an octagon, damascus barrel 4 5/8"-4¾" long with a traditional browned finish and a custom post front sight. Preferably with an integral front sight base machined onto the barrel. Bowen's target rear sight. A bullseye or crescent ejector, possibly a Colt ejector housing. Grips could be TruIvory, ivory micarta or perhaps fancy French walnut. The grip frame would be decked for perfect grip fit. It would be engraved in a tradtional rose and scroll pattern somewhere between 20% and 50% coverage. Maybe Jim Stroh's half-cock conversion and straightened trigger. The frame, gate, hammer and trigger would be case colored by Turnbull, the remaining parts carbona blued. Maybe a #5 style basepin retention system and custom basepin. Very similar to Ross Seyfried's #13 .475, without the extensive topstrap rework.
