@OP Do you have calipers? I am curious as to what the OAL on the lawman is.
I have run a variety of loads through my m&p 9c, from relatively light commercial reloads to various +p ammo. They all worked just fine. But it is possible that maybe the lawman is loaded slightly long.
As others have said though, if different ammo doesnt change things, send it back to S&W let them fix it.
