Okay, so what 1911 can you buy new for $500-600? It won't be a Colt.
What I can't figure out is by your logic that if you can buy a new 1911 for $500-600, why you would be willing to pay $400 for a used one ($250 plus $150 on sights).
The age of the gun isn't a detraction here.
