That's an interesting bit about the pressure... is the Contender generally accepted to be less able to handle hot loads than is the Encore? I'm curious because a full load in .444Marlin is only 51,000psi and about 2,400 ft/lbs.... not much different than my 15" Encore Pro Hunter 7mm-08, which is about 2,000ft/lbs and 60,000psi.
