There are tons of good plinking 45 loads. I've used mainly Bullseye and Universal for mine. With Jacketed/Plated I'll use either but for lead I am just using clean burning powders (IE not bullseye). Its like the perfect storm of sludge when using that and I grew tired of having to use a dental pick to clean out the black crud in my gun. Universal and lead doesn't leave a clean gun, but it isn't awful either. The loads I've used with 230 grain LRN is 4.3 of Bullseye and 4.7 of Universal. I've actually got some Green Dot with works great for my 9mm loads that I need to try next.
