The law for carrying concealed pistols here in New Hampshire doesn't specifically state that the magazine has to be in the gun, so it could taken the same way. Especially since the laws concerning carrying longarms in a vehicle
do make such a distinction. Of course in NH if you can buy a pistol, you can get a permit, so it's not a big deal.
