Bayonet ID

Here's a new Bayonet that I got recently. I thought it was a variation of an German Ersatz. Can't find a pic of a similar one I saw on a now defunct bayonet board. The brass cross guard made me think Ersatz. The handle having grips milled out on both sides makes me think it's not.

Unfortunately the late owner didn't take care of his stuff. the rust you see on the blade is after its had a fairly good scouring. Still too much rust to read any insignia. That is if there are any, some bayonets exported from Germany didn't have any stampings at all.

The blade has been sharpened, worse luck.

If anyone has a clue about the ID on this thing I'd appreciate it.
