I'm not really sold one way or the other on grip safeties--just pointing out that anything that keeps a gun from shooting when you pull the trigger can be either good or bad depending on the circumstances.
I don't see how anyone can grab a gun insufficiently enough to not engage that safety. 1911's have been with them for 100 years. Still strong.
