Hello FatElvis & TangoRomeo,
The item I suggested would allow you to retain the normal comfiguration of the rifle and should alow the scoped rifle to be as accurate with the iron sights.
The only short coming I can see is that if you don't use an extended scope base you would have to use a EER scout type scope.
