Boyd's make a nice looking laminated stock for the 870. It's a thumbhole design, first time I've seen it in wood for a shotgun. Anyone have experience with these - fit, finish, durability? Do laminated stocks stand up to synthetics, or are the latter the way to go? I like the no-care aspect of the speedfeed on my 870, but I love the plain walnut on my Ithaca '87 M&P. Just wondering if laminates are a good compromise...
