The 260,7-08,243 and 308 all have the same headspace.

Two way to fireform. You can fireform with standard load for the 260 which can be just the start load or you can use COW method 12/13gr Bulleye and filler hold the muzzle up and that fireform your case.

Since I can reload at the range also if I can get 10 Ackley cases I can reload those 5/6 times for load development and sometime you may get above max velocity with a max load.

I've never build a 260AI but I did look at it along with the 6.5x55AI but I opt for the 6.5x284 Norma. I'm shooting 243AI,35 WhelenAI,222AI,223AI and the SAAMI spec 280AI also shooting customs in 222,223 and 243.

I rebarrel when accuracy drops off and I've never found the Ackley wear a barrel out faster. My 280AI was a factory 280 and I shot a Kreiger barrel 35 Whelen and later rebarrel that to the 35 WhelenAI.

I like shooting the Ackleys.
