CAROLINA CUP ANNOUNCES SPONSORS FOR 2006 EVENT
Spots Still Available for June 3 & 4 Event in Oxford, NC

Smith & Wesson, i-Shot, Inc and DigiLight will be joined by Backyard Outfitter as match sponsors for the 2006 Carolina Cup event held on June 3 and 4 in Oxford, NC. The Carolina Cup is one of the largest IDPA matches in the country, with up to 250 slots available for IDPA members to participate.

Smith & Wesson is one of the world's most recognizable brands. Since opening their doors over 100 years ago, they have focused on designing and manufacturing innovative solutions that are unparalleled in the field of personal safety and protection. Smith & Wesson will host a demonstration bay where match participants can try new products. These include 1911 handguns and the recently released M&P handgun. Additionally, Smith & Wesson will provide revolvers to be used by participants during the match. They also will donate eight grand prize items distributed by drawing, which will include three 1911s, three M&Ps and two 686 revolvers.

DigiLight flashlights represent the state-of-the-art in illumination technology. Utilizing Xenon, LED and Luxeon? technologies, DigiLight flashlights are designed for a lifetime of reliable, ultra-bright illumination. The DigiLight product line delivers technology and high-performance at high-value. DigiLight will provide 100 of their T6 Xenon tactical lights that are custom engraved commemorating the 2006 Carolina Cup for distribution to safety officers and participants. In addition to the company?s range bags, their on-line store offers a wide range of products used by competitors. Each participant will receive an i-Shot magazine storage pouch.

Backyard Outfitter is a new sponsor this year, and is the exclusive distributor of Woolrich Elite Series tactical clothing. The company will supply the safety officers with pants, shirts, shorts, and vests for the match as well as additional vests, shirts, and pants for the prize table.
