I have a Glock 17 and 17c. I use the 17 in most situations, but I compete with the 17c. Flash is brighter and the potential for getting debris in your grill are greater with a 17C.
Also, the night sights would be a great addition. I am getting trigger and slide spring modifications on my competition gun. I would NOT recommend spending the cabbage unless you compete. Ammo is pretty expensive as is.
