I just a Simmons 3x9x40 on my ruger 10/22 stainless. i stopped thing in terms of brand names and started thinking in terms of how good the optics work for me. And honestly I prefer most of my optics over Leapold.
Now Swarovski is another world.
Buy what works best for you and your budget as long as the optic suits you and your uses.
