JRD,

My neighbor helped me set my press up. He has many years of experience with reloading. I was very apprehensive dealing with powder and primers to begin with. I haven't lost any respect for these components; but I am comfortable dealing with them now.

I am very happy with the RCBS Pro 2000 press. But, I had a time getting used to the APS primer feed. Once you get the rhythm or timing down, you are set. If you have trouble with the strip feed jamming, keep trying and give it a chance. You will get the hang of it. Others have just abandoned the on-board priming system and resorted to other means. I admit that I came very close to it myself. I'm just too hard headed to give in!

Oh, and before you fill the powder hopper; insert the baffle. You'll be glad that you did. I had read that the baffle helps with consistent charges at different volumes of powder in the reservoir. Sure enough, after the reservoir was approximately 1/3 empty, the charges deviated. Have fun!
