If you can get hold of throat and muzzle wear gages, you can probably get some idea of it's value by looking at
the CMP site and how they grade Garands. Because of the part mix, this is a shooter and not a collector's item. CMP prices tend to be a bit lower than gunshops, and figure the optimistic pricing you often find at gun shows will be half-again higher than CMP prices as a place to start bargaining.
