Personally, with your barrel being that short, I would go with the Piston driven system. A DI system with that size cartridge and the barrel being that short, places a lot of stress on the gas key of the bolt carrier group. I would look into Adams Arms Pistons/Upper and go with the Noveske barrel. However, since you are located on the Eastern Shore of MD, LWRC is out of Cambridge which will be more convenient.
