I've had some Fobus that fit terrible (1911, HiPower), others that were fine (Glock, Beretta), and some in between (Sig) .
They can scratch your gun easier than leather, due to he grit that gathers in any holster. In leather, it can be "squished" into the leather in stead of the gun. In Kydex, or whatever synthetic, it doesn't have as much of a chance to get out of the way.
