.38 Special SAAMI Max is 17,000 PSI
.38 Special+p SAAMI max is 18,500 PSI
.357 Magnum SAAMI max is 35,000 PSI
Yes, "more peppy" is one way to describe it. Another way to describe it would be
twice the pressure!
