22 to 17 conversion
I have an old J C Higgins which appears to be a marlin model 100. After stumbling across some information on converting a 22 to shoot 17 mach 2, I was wondering...how difficult would this be? I have found information on doing something like this with a 10/22, but have not saw much on this dealing with other makes. What options are available to me? Aside from a sleeve could I just source a 17mach2 barrel from a distributor like numrich? Or is this a lost cause better left alone?
