Benelli M4 is a pretty good tactical shotgun; however, it isn't the shotgun I would choose for home defense, shooting clays at any discipline, or bird hunting. So, no, it isn't the best shotgun in the world.
My Maxus makes a much better bird gun, so does my Browning Silver Lightning, which also makes a decent clay gun.
