The Raven was one cheap gun that actually did work, out of the ones I've seen. of course, 25ACP isn't much of a caliber to bet your life on. I had a Jennings J-22 years ago, and it worked OK. Nothing sterling, just OK...
We had a Jennings 9mm on the rental range I worked, and it lasted less than a week. I would counsel on saving for a High Point as the lowest standard, perhaps looking for something used in a good name.
