By the way for stats - according to Gary Kleck - award winning criminologist - 95% of DGUs have
NO shots fired. Since I move in academic circles, I asked him and several other criminologists if gun caliber has been shown to affect gun based deterrence and the answer is no.
So, this is a big yawn.
Is having a gun better than none - yes. The crazed biker who doesn't stop is not a high probability event as compared to the lack of efiicacy of having no gun.
Is it better to have the max power that you can shoot well? Yes.
