Take the turret completely off after you zero it, Without turning the mechanism! put it back on with the zero (0) on the vertical line.

This is what it'll look like. Keep track of which horizontal line it is on. (notice mine is on the 4 line.) After you've dialed for range, turn it back to zero and your numbered line. (mine would be 4) You will then be back on your zero.
