Most concealed carry laws only apply to handguns and not long guns. You can not have long guns loaded.

I moved once and carried all the guns in boxes in the back of a pickup. All were unloaded. Handguns can be easily disguised in moving boxes. Long guns, I carried them in unloaded in the cab in plain sight. Depends how many you have of course.

I have never had problems transporting firearms as long as they are unloaded. I kept the ammo in the back of the pickup. Police really aren't interested in honest law abiding people and most couldn't care less how many guns you have. Long guns can be placed flat wrapped in a rug if that fits your situation.
