If I were in that situation, I would just avoid the area. No sense getting involved in something that is not your conflict. However, if somehow I was stuck in the middle of it, I wouldn't stop (or slow down, probably) my vehicle for anyone.
Probably use the e-brake to execute a perfect 180 degree turn, then head back the other way.
