When I'm out and about I usually take a Glock 29 in 10mm. I figure if I were to need penetration I have it. Around the house though its going to be up close and I go with the 45. Probably doesn't make a bit of difference. A 175 gr. STHP or a +P230 gr. HP. I wouldn't want to get hit by either one.
