Hard to tell exactly what kind of magazine is on it because of the stock.

I don't think that is the correct military stock.

The reason I say French is because of the odd shape of the bold head, the shape of the bolt handle, and the very squared appearance of the bolt handle where it attaches to the bolt body.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the picture was my 1892/16 Betherier musketoon.

It has a profile very similar to what is seen in this picture...
