A lot depends on one's size. Really large people can probably pocket carry a .44 (think Andre the giant). Small people might have a difficult time with a NAA mini-22.
But probably the most popular would be .38 special in the S&W airweight range and similar. Followed by .32 H&R mag, .22 mag, and finally .22 LR minis.
